Formerly known as the Oaxacan Nuns Cloister, Cardenal Oaxaca Social Venue carries the echoes of centuries past. It's a place where history gracefully meets the future. In 1984, it underwent a transformation, reborn as the ethereal wedding sanctuary it is today.

Perched to the right of the awe-inspiring Santo Domingo Convent, our venue enjoys a privileged location on 704 Alcala Street, right along the Touristic Road of Oaxaca Downtown. Spanning over 16,000 square feet, it offers an expansive canvas for you to paint the picture of your perfect day.

Picture this: Your ceremony can be hosted in one of the charming churches nearby, or if you prefer a non-Catholic celebration, within our venue itself.

The day unfolds with grace, from the 4pm to 5pm ceremony, followed by the exhilarating "calenda" walk event from 5pm to 5:30pm. At 5:30pm, your guests step inside the venue, where the magic truly begins.

With a 6pm to 7pm cocktail hour, you'll have time to revel in the joy of the occasion. As day turns into night, the venue transforms into a lively dance floor, where the celebration lasts until 2am. Whether it's catering, decoration, or photography, you have the freedom to curate every detail of your special day.
