It feels like a little piece of heaven hidden in the mountains, peaceful, magical, intimate, and unbelievably beautiful in every direction you look.

From the moment we first visited, Jo and Duncan made us feel more like welcomed friends than guests. They are the kindest, warmest hosts, always checking in and always making sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. You can immediately tell how much love and intention they have poured into this place.

This was the first and only venue we visited and honestly, I cannot imagine a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. There is something incredibly emotional about this venue, the views, the quietness, the light, the feeling you get standing there. It is one of those places you carry with you long after you leave.

If you are considering celebrating your wedding here, do it. It is unforgettable.

This Must Be The Place made the dream of getting married abroad, a stress free-reality. From the very first moment we contacted Jo and Duncan to explore their venue, we knew it was the one. We truly felt that this must be the place.

Planning a Spanish wedding at home in Scotland felt like an impossible task but Jo and Duncan had an answer for every question we could have possibly dreamed up. Nothing was a bother, every suggestion embraced and every thought encouraged. This is a venue that really wants you to live out your dream day as if they are your own family.

Hidden in the Catalonian hills, just one hour from Barcelona airport, this converted farmhouse is in the wide open - yet is completely secluded and genuinely special. Every inch of this venue is beautiful, from the barn to the bedrooms, it is breathtaking. There was so much choice in customising our big day, we had so many options of where to hold our welcome drinks, our ceremony, our aperitivo, our dinner, our dessert, our party and more. Jo and Duncan will make your vision a reality, with so many spaces to play with.

We felt a lot of pressure to provide something special since we were trekking 80 of our family and friends from Scotland to Spain. Since coming home we have been inundated with people telling us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. That was made possible by Jo, Duncan and all of the amazing vendors who are delighted when they find out your wedding is at TMBTP. Every vendor we used had worked there before and each came with the seal of approval from Jo and Duncan, this put us at ease throughout, especially when things operate on a much more relaxed timescale compared to here in the UK. If Jo and Duncan trust them, you can too.

Our wedding was perfect, marrying the woman I love amongst the blossoming flowers, surrounded by butterflies and the buzzing of the bees, with the sun piercing through the trees and reflecting from the hanging disco ball in every direction. It is a memory that will last a lifetime.

And even when things look to be going wrong, Jo and Duncan are experts on hand to turn things around before you even have a moment to panic. An out of the blue 20 minute thunder storm, breaking up a glorious day of sunshine was converted into a cosy moment inside for speeches that left everyone in streams of smiling tears. This couple live every wedding as if it is their own (and they have had their own wedding there! It should even serve as your inspiration).

Every added extra you can come up with will fit in seamlessly here. We had live painters, a bagpiper, buses, taxis, big floral arrangements and a party nobody wanted to end. All coordinated to perfection by Jo and Duncan. The night before the wedding felt so intimate and special, our closest friends gathered round the courtyard as we polished off our speeches and then the morning after the wedding reminiscing on a night we never wanted to end. This place is really special.

We will never be able to truly put into words how grateful we are to have had such an emotional wedding full of love and joy in such a beautiful setting. Jo and Duncan made our dreams a reality and we couldn’t recommend them enough.

Just held our wedding at this incredible venue. It was completely perfect and I couldn't recommend it more. From start to finish, Jo and Duncan who own the venue couldn't have been more helpful. They have poured so much love and attention into the venue with so many beautiful thoughtful personal touches everywhere you look. They were available from day 1 to answer every question we had, and they had a list of trusted supplier of all which were in keeping with the style and quality of the venue. We actually booked the venue before visiting it and when we finally got to visit it we were even more blown away by the beauty of the place. The whole lead up to the wedding was smooth and seemless and jo and Duncan went out their way to help us think through every step of the day and even a plan B if the weather wasn't good. Over the wedding weekend, jo and Duncan made us feel so at home and I feel so relaxed on the day knowing everything was on hand. I'm really sad the weekend is over, it was for me the happiest day of my life and so much of that was due to the experience jo Duncan and their suppliers created for us. Thank you again! I hope one day we can return for another party!

I just had to do a review about the most amazing wedding venue where my partner and I got married June 2023 – the stunning This Must be the Place in Moia. Everything was just wow! The venue is truly beautiful, it's been renovated perfectly but has kept its authentic feel while having a nice touch of modern. The views were mind-blowing and we were lucky to have the most perfect sunset during our party. This will stay as one of our best memories.
But the best part must be the owners, Jo, Duncan, and their daughter Indy. They were like wedding superheroes! Right from the get-go, they made us feel like family. The communication was on point, and they were always there to lend a hand or share their expert advice. They hooked us up with the best local providers, we couldn't have asked for better! When the big day arrived, Jo and Duncan were there to help! I really felt them going above and beyond with their support. They were working behind the scenes, making sure everything was flawless. Plus, they were like our personal cheerleaders, keeping us cool and calm throughout the whole thing.
The catering by Caravan Made (their exclusive provider) was out of this world! Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food and drinks.
But what really touched our hearts was Jo's open arms and support for our LGBT wedding. It meant the world to us that she embraced our love and made us feel special on our big day. Thanks for spreading the love and being an ally!
So, if you're on the hunt for a place to say I do, this is definitely the place to be! We're forever grateful to Jo, Duncan, and Indy for giving us the wedding of our dreams

This Must Be The Place was the only wedding venue we visited when planning our wedding. Once we saw it we knew it was the one and Jo & Duncan did not disappoint!

They were so helpful both in the lead up to the day and on the day itself. The day seemed to run seamlessly and we were able just to relax and enjoy ourselves with all our friends and family in this paradisiacal setting.

When we came across TMBTP we knew instantly that this was where we were going to get married. Not only is the venue, location and views completely out of this world, but Jo, Duncan and Indy are just incredible people! Planning a wedding abroad would have been a very different experience without them! They are easy going, very professional, kind, supportive and have a wealth of experience. They couldn’t have helped us enough, which made the planning experience far less stressful than we had anticipated! Jo and Duncan supported us with recommendations and with the organisation of our vendors, and were super helpful with the abundance of questions we fired their way!
