Family-run and set high above Valmas Beach, On The Rocks Ios is an exclusive collection of five luxury serviced villas overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Just a 15-minute walk from the whitewashed streets of Chora, the estate offers a wonderfully private base for an intimate island wedding, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, private pools and some seriously impressive sea and sunset views.
Together, the five villas accommodate up to 32 guests, making it possible to bring your closest friends and family to Ios and have everyone staying in one place. The setting lends itself beautifully to relaxed celebrations, with ceremony locations overlooking the turquoise waters of Valmas Beach, sunset drinks beside the infinity pool and receptions beneath the stars at The Two Rocks.
Smaller weddings of around 15–30 guests can book individual villas and their adjoining spaces, while full estate buyouts may be available during selected shoulder-season dates, giving couples the chance to make the entire property their own. There are no set wedding packages, allowing the celebration to be shaped around the couple, from an intimate dinner to a full wedding weekend with pre- and post-wedding gatherings.
Life at On The Rocks is very much about enjoying the island together. Daily housekeeping and a dedicated team make the stay wonderfully easy, while the team can arrange everything from restaurant reservations and local recommendations to boat trips and transfers. Spend the afternoon around the pool, head down to the beach, explore Chora or take to the water before returning for sunset cocktails and dinner.

Weddings at On The Rocks
The beautifully landscaped estate has been carefully designed to make the most of its views, with plenty of spaces for guests to relax and socialise. Three BBQ areas, a pizza oven, multiple outdoor dining spaces, an olive garden, sunset and cocktail spots, a pétanque area and five grass lawns.
Four ceremony locations are available across the estate, with the most suitable setting depending on the size and style of the celebration. Each offers panoramic views across the Aegean Sea, with spectacular sunsets providing a naturally beautiful backdrop for saying “I do”.
Two poolside reception spaces provide flexible settings for different group sizes, with room for seated dining, drinks and dancing, alongside tables, a bar and music setup around the pool.
Couples are free to choose their own caterer, giving them the flexibility to create a menu and dining experience that suits their celebration.

- The port of Ios is easily accessible from any other island in the Cyclades or Athens. The most convenient connection is through Santorini, which is located only 40min ferry trip from Ios and offers frequent ferry crossings. Other popular islands you can fly to are Paros, Naxos, Mykonos, Crete. An alternative connection could also be taking a ferry from any ports in Athens such as Pireaus or Rafina.
