“As a bride born in Greece – and as a graphic designer with an interior-design studio I share with my mother — celebrating our wedding at home felt deeply meaningful.”

A Ceremony in the heart of Ios

The day began with Natalia getting ready at the beautiful On The Rocks Villas, surrounded by soft island light and anticipation. From there, guests gathered for a ceremony at the breathtaking Odysseas Elytis Amphitheatre, where the couple exchanged vows overlooking views of the island landscape.

The amphitheatre’s open-air setting created a moment of quiet romance, allowing Natalia and Josh’s love story to unfold beneath the Greek sky before the celebrations moved toward the sea.

As the evening began, guests made their way along the stone pathways of Ios Chora, climbing toward the terrace of Ios Club. With every step, the view opened wider, until the vast Aegean appeared in full panorama.

For more than fifty years, this legendary sunset bar has been one of the island’s most captivating gathering places. Minimal architectural lines meet artistic details and relaxed bohemian character.

Natalia remembers the moment guests arrived.

“As our guests climbed the stone steps for sunset cocktails, the panoramic Aegean view opened before them, a moment they still describe as unforgettable.”

Golden light bathed the terrace while signature cocktails and Mediterranean flavours began the evening’s celebration.

Designing a Personal Celebration

For Natalia, whose creative life centres around design, the wedding was a personal project. Every detail was carefully considered, combining her own graphic work with the natural character of the venue.

“Designing every detail was a labour of love, and collaborating with Ios Club made everything feel cohesive. Their furniture, linens, art de la table, and curated décor created the perfect canvas for our custom graphics and soft, romantic palette.”

Ios Club’s distinctive aesthetic, part artistic hideaway, part sunset sanctuary , provided the perfect setting. The venue’s shabby-chic accents and contemporary spaces complemented Natalia’s vision beautifully.

A Night Overlooking the Aegean

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration shifted into a vibrant evening of music, laughter, and dancing beneath the stars. The terrace transformed into an atmospheric reception space where Mediterranean cuisine, expertly mixed cocktails, and glowing lights carried the celebration late into the night.
