Melissa & Timothy’s Tropical Bali Wedding
Melissa and Timothy chose not one but two stunning Bali venues for their wedding day, with an intimate ceremony at Tirtha Uluwatu and picturesque celebrations at The Stone House. The day was documented beautifully by Gusmank Wedding Photography.
A dream destination wedding in Bali
Bali was an obvious choice when it came to wedding planning for the gorgeous couple, Tim and Melissa. Surprisingly, most of their guests had never been to Bali, which is quite a unique situation for Australians who are usually very familiar with this beautiful island.
Luckily, Melissa’s parents were frequent travellers to the island and were given the task to check wedding venues that the couple were interested in. A cliff top wedding was at the top of their wish list and Melissa’s parents chose two venues at Tirtha Bridal.
“There is no prettier place on earth for a wedding” Melissa’s father commented.
The wedding day was set on the Southern cliff top of Bali, with panoramic views across the Indian Ocean. The contemporary glass structure which held the ceremony contrasted exquisitely with the heritage architecture and tropical gardens of their reception celebration.
Tim and Melissa got to know each other when they met at 18 years old and started their beautiful journey a few years later when they ended up working together. Being together for so long made them very relaxed in handling their destination wedding.
“When the wedding seemed overwhelming we would go out for breakfast together, take a pen and paper and just talk everything wedding without any distractions”, said Melissa.
The couple feel that their wedding went very smoothly with help from Tirtha wedding team led by Anggie as the Wedding Assistant even though they have never seen the venue until 3 days before their actual day! Choosing a custom menu, the couple asked for an Asian tasting plate for Entrée, an alternative plate chicken and steak for main dish and of course a sumptuous dessert platter to finish.

“I loved the moment where Tim and I were alone in the villa looking out on to our reception and guests all having the best time and enjoying the stunning location. As we looked out on to all the guests, it was hard to believe the day was finally here but we were able to take it in for a few moments” Melissa said again.
