Some destination weddings begin with a venue. Taylor and Brody’s began much earlier, with a childhood promise.

Having first visited Crete when she was young, Taylor fell in love with the island and told her family that one day she would return to get married there. Years later, on 16 June 2026, that dream became a reality as she and Brody brought their closest friends and family to Sea View by En Kipo for a beautiful celebration overlooking the Cretan Sea.

Real Wedding at Sea View by En Kipo

High on the hillside of Stalos, just outside Chania, the venue provided a spectacular setting from the very beginning. The Mediterranean stretched out across the horizon, the afternoon light bathed the hillside in warmth and, as the day progressed, the sea became the backdrop to a unique destination-wedding sunset.

Taylor and Brody kept the styling elegant and understated, allowing the natural beauty of Crete to do much of the work. Crisp white florals complemented the venue’s surroundings, while the panoramic sea views created a dramatic setting for their ceremony and photographs. There was something wonderfully uncomplicated about the aesthetic: beautiful flowers, incredible scenery and the people who had travelled across the world to be there.

And that sense of togetherness was at the heart of the day. Rather than focusing on elaborate details, the celebration was about making memories with the people they love, from emotional moments during the ceremony to laughter, embraces and long conversations as the afternoon turned into evening.

Then came the moment Taylor had perhaps imagined all those years ago. With the Cretan coastline stretching into the distance, the couple watched the sun slowly disappear over the sea, turning the sky into a wash of warm golden tones. Guests gathered around them, taking in the view as day gave way to evening and the celebrations continued beneath the stars.

There is something particularly special about a destination wedding when the location already holds meaning for the couple. For Taylor, returning to Crete to marry Brody made the day feel like the fulfilment of a promise she had carried since childhood. For everyone who travelled to celebrate with them, it became a chance to experience a little of the island that had captured her heart all those years ago.

From the panoramic Cretan Sea views to the glowing sunset and the joy of having their favourite people gathered together, Taylor and Brody’s wedding was a celebration with a story behind it, and a setting worthy of the dream.
