The Lodge on Loch Goil Wedding
Wedding & Events Director, Alice, at The Lodge On Loch Goil talks us through the day.
The gorgeous bride and groom, Marielle and Maarten, were such an amazing couple, they knew exactly what type of wedding they wanted.
They got married on Saturday 25th May 2019 in our famous treehouse. They imagined their wedding to be simple, relaxed and rustic which allowed them to spend time with each of their guests, so had an intimate wedding, with a guest list of just 20 of their family and close friends.
Marielle and Maarten, came to see the Lodge on 8th March 2018 and fell in love with the venue, they were so excited and decided right away, that this was the venue for them. So, they confirmed the date before heading back to Holland.
Marielle and Maarten, wanted a weekend wedding, so they arrived on the Thursday afternoon as they wanted to stay on their own in our famous Summerhouse with views over looking a sea loch.
Then after breakfast they were joined by the rest of the family and close friends. A wonderful celebration BBQ was had by all on the eve of the wedding, everyone was in such great spirits.
Our enchanting treehouse sets the perfect scene for a unique wedding celebration and that is where they got married.

After the wedding ceremony in our treehouse which was conducted by the lovely registrar Samantha, champagne and canapés were served to all the guests and the celebrations began.
Wedding Meal – As the sun was going down, all guests were piped into to dinner, in our wonderful candlelit arts and crafts dining room, cake cutting then the wedding feast was served.
The Menu they selected had a real Scottish theme, Loch Fyne smoked salmon, champagne sorbet, fillet beef and creme brûlée followed by cheese and port.
They danced the evening away with our in house pianist Andy Lucas, all guests enjoying the music and especially the first dance. More food to follow and scrumptious wedding cake, before retiring for the evening.
