Why should couples consider having a photo booth at their wedding?
Photo booths are a great way to entertain your guests and capture those playful moments of fun and laughter.
Our photo booths offer a great source of entertainment as they are situated inside blush pink classic vehicles, we have two classic VW camper vans Birdie & Pixie alongside Babs our light up bubble caravan. In fact, Birdie and Babs have both been featured on TV and are hired by many celebrities for their big days! Wooo!
Photo booths can also act as a quirky guest book, we create a station which is the perfect space for guests to leave messages alongside their images, a keepsake for the bride and groom like no other.
Do all venues allow a photo booth?
In our experience of traveling throughout the UK, which includes visiting hundreds of different types of venues then as long as the venue has easy access (no small gated entrances or height restrictions) and has electricity a short distance away a photo booth can be run perfectly.
Our camper van and caravan photo booths are usually set up outside the wedding venue so don’t take up important space inside and also give another element to the wedding – offering a space to spread out with our props and make a beautiful outdoor feature and backdrop to the day which looks pretty both day and night.
What should couples consider when looking to hire a photo booth?
Look at the schedule of the day and ensure you have a time (mainly in the evening) that the photo booth would work within. Most people hire us to be set up for when their evening guests arrive and running whilst the band/DJ is on.
What is included in the hire?
It’s important to check exactly what’s included when hiring your wedding photo booth, you don’t want to be stuck with an unforeseen bill to get your photos after your wedding day.
Our basic package includes;
- Three hours of camper van photo booth hire including out light up PHOTO letters on the roof
- Personalised and unlimited photo print outs
- Emailed boomerang GIFs sent directly to your guests email address with a personalised message from yourself
- The choice of hundreds of props and your choice of backdrop
- Your Guest book which we provide the necessary pens, glue, extra print outs which guests can write their message alongside
We then send all of the high res. images via email after the wedding for the newlyweds to enjoy, I’m sure they have as much fun going through them as their guests did posing for them!
How can couples personalise their photo booth?
We offer bespoke themed props, backdrops, personalised number plates and can also make light up letters spelling out the couples new surname or initials to go on the camper or caravan roof.
The story of Birdie & Co
After leaving my job as a primary school teacher in London I decided to go back to my creative roots. I’d always had a passion for customising, styling and photography and so the idea of a camper van photo booth was born…or should I say hatched!
Back in 2016 I was introduced to a friend who is an award winning classic VW restorer and we soon became the perfect collaboration. Our Birdie photo booth camper van was originally rusting away with chickens roosting in her engine bay and after a truly amazing conversion she is a completey adaptable photo booth fully equipped with furniture and stunning décor.
And not long after…along came Betty, Flossie, Babs, Bonnie, Herbie…and now Pixie!
